Futuristic Footwear

It is a truth universally acknowledged that I have a thing for anything metallic.
You can only imagine the joy when, after a period of taking a break from online shopping, I take a look around and find all these beautiful, BEAUTIFUL silver specimen across cyberspace.

Lately I really have been drawn more towards heels that will be sturdy – “chunky” is too strong a word. Stilettos can wait. (Although there are still some great silver pumps lurking around… Curious? Look no further than here.)

These are a few of my favourites right meow.

From the top: the infamous 3.1 Philip Lim Cody heels. Fetch your pair from The Corner. Still love them. Minimal and magic.

The gorgeous Max Mara Rivolo shoes. Elegant, sophisticated, modern. Seriously. Via Matches

The most expensive option, but they are as cool as they are interesting as they are chic. Who doesn’t want to be a Proenza girl, really? By Proenza Schouler, on The Corner.

Which are your favourite?

I call this one “How I Would Be Dressed Right Now
If My Bank Account So Permitted”.

Originally this set was going to be a compilation of all my “recently viewed” items on farfetch.com however Polyvore is very generous so the situation got a bit out of control.

Lately I haven’t been wearing jewelry except maybe the occasional necklace. Maybe it’s because of the fact that I’m bored of all the rings, bracelets and necklaces I’ve been piling on for the past years.

In recent weeks I have been really into the look of a casual shirt and fairly casual outfit with beautiful, big coloured crystal earrings.

Oh, to comfortably afford some Erickson Beamon.

Strongly recommend that perfume too.

A few beautiful items that together form a rather awesome outfit. Left to right: Rick Owens jacket ($1450). Chloé sweater ($910). Balenciaga skirt ($645). Proenza Schouler bag ($2290). LowLuv by Erin Wasson necklace ($160).  Maison Martin Margiela shoes ($565).

Enough said.

She Wanna Be Admired

I often surprise myself how I can be so inspired by beautiful, embellished, textured, colourful womenswear, yet at the same time feel very inspired by urban women’s streetwear.

There is something special about the t-shirt, it gets overlooked as an interesting item, but lately my wardrobe has been in need of them. Both comfortable, basic, plain t-shirts and also more interesting printed t-shirts, always loose and always relaxed even when mixed with a great skirt or pair of trousers. The picture of Julia Sarr-Jamois in the grey t-shirt and neon yellow skirt does just that, don’t you think?

Every outfit I put on is based around comfort, but I love the feeling of wearing something that is beautifully designed and unique, as most women do. Unfortunately though, my life seems to lack situations where I can dress like Anna Dello Russo.
